Thomas has been involved with the UCC industries since 1989 and served as co-chair of the Technical Subcommittee and Technical Advisor to the User Subcommittee for the Article 9 rewrite. Thomas has been deeply involved in the design and implementation of both the EDI 105 and EDI 154 standards for both UCC and Corporate filing and searching and was part of the team that developed EDI filing for Texas.
Thomas is the architect of the current IACA approved UCC XML standard and led the implementation team. This standard is currently being implemented by a number of jurisdictions for bulk UCC filings. Thomas has spoken at numerous seminars regarding how technology is, and will, affect the UCC industry.
Currently Thomas is working with jurisdictions, third party software vendors, and service companies to implement UCC XML filing in various jurisdictions.
Besides being involved in the UCC industries, Thomas has years of experience in the industrial arena. Since 1979 Thomas has been involved in various aspect of technology for Industrial automation and process improvements. Having developed software and applications for Robotic controls and end manipulators, as well as having designed interface software for the CNC to CAD-CAM applications. Thomas also has extensive experience using Allen Bradley PLC and Modicon controllers and designed and implemented shop-floor and product control systems and applications.
